Quick Game Reviews: Free fun stuff

I've been playing a lot of fun free/freeish(tip your devs) games lately and I wanted to plug some of them!!

  • Zoo-Ika by Funwalker! This is a fun suika-like game where you drop little animal balls into the playfield and merge them to create bigger, but ultimately space-saving animals in the process! As of writing, my current high score is 66,819 for normal mode! Can you beat me?
  • Tiny Pasture (DEMO) by CaveLiquid This is a cute little desktop pet game where you raise farm animals! It's just a demo so far but I was really smitten with it!! I'm excited for the full release. Until then I'll be content with my pasture of all 4* alpacas and one 5* one haha
  • Cookard by Panitia GameDev! This is a deckbuilding restaurant sim/factory sim similar to plate up or overcooked, but with the awesome game design concept of stacking cards on top of other cards to create recipes and cook food! It took a lot of focus and was a quick play, Steam claims I played 3.6 hours but I think it was closer to one or so. Or maybe I really did lose track of time like that and played for nearly 4 hours lol! I 'beat' the game by completing all the quests, but I'd like to keep playing and see how much I can automate!
  • Sudoku Land by weepingwitch! This is a very straightforward sudoku game, but with the twist that instead of numbers, it uses little pixel art biomes! Extremely charming, and a little bit of a fun challenge since there's no 'pencil' mechanic, meaning you have to rely entirely on your working memory! It's not terribly challenging (I'd say it's on par with most 'easy' sudoku puzzle games), but it's been a bit of a go-to to unwind or even jump start my brain in the morning!
  • And that's my review! 4 little games that are quick plays that I've enjoyed lately! Have a good holiday weekend/fall time/whathaveyou!!
